I'm excited to say I'm writing a book for Sourcebooks on Social Media Marketing for their "Quickstart Your Business Series". It will be out in 2008. It's for any online business person who wants the real scoop on what matters when it comes to marketing using Social Media. I've created a step by step action plan that puts theory into practice in a quick and easy way.
I want to make sure I answer all the questions and concerns that you have. As readers of this blog, I know it's a topic of interest for you. Can you let me know what questions you have about how to apply these tactics to your marketing? I'm covering all the new tactics (online communities, RSS, podcasting, social bookmarking) and several tried and true ones. It would be great to hear what you want to know.
If you send me a question I use in the book, I'll send you a copy once it's completed.
Greg,
Great to hear from you. Very interesting comments. Per your question,it will be a large format paperback like the others in the Quick Start series. I will be covering topics like social networking sites. I'm betting on ones like Facebook to succeed, but who knows for sure.

Congrats on writing the book. Will it be eBook style or paperback/hard cover. Running a Web 2.0 Marketing company myself its great to see more literature coming out on this topic! Will you be covering the social networking world? Myspace, Facebook, LinkdIn, etc. This has been a huge topic for my clients and how it is going to play out in the long-term. I do Myspace Marketing for a number of companies in different industries and the main question they ask lies along the lines of "Will Myspace still be here in 5 years, since I'm spending all this money on it now?" I like to reply with a positive outlook, but being a millennial I know that we have the attention span of 2 year olds and will be on to the next hot site as soon as it comes along. I'd like to see this topic addressed in a book soon or I might just have to write it myself!! :)
